What is the purpose of life on earth? Many philosophers have said that God created the earth as a school for souls. Some say human souls are created throughts of God. God may have invented and created each body and mind as the temporary shell to the house a soul during its childhood.
Rev. Charles Neal, in 1976, expressed it in this way: The nature of the Universe is to evolve. This is true of every part including rocks, mineral, plants, animals and man. This is also true of the very essence of the Universe, which is consciousness. Consciusness has been present in every stage. It is God-Mind seeking to express Itself as perfection. Consciusness evolves along with every other element.
Samuel Taylor Coleridge(1772-1834) said that the truth of religion is found in the way to answers the deepest needs of a man’s spirit. In America it has been estimated that one out of every twenty adults suffers from alcoholism, and more in some other countries. But among the fifty million Americans who now claim to have born again, alcoholism is very rare.
