Actor Network Theory(ANT) is one theory which occur in science and technology studies. ANT sees human and non-human in a symmetric ways. For example, if we want to talk about weapon, simulation, bridge and etc, then we are not only see the people which influenced by the appearing of those object, but also how the people influence the object, and by its design, is a delegation of the designers interest.
As a part of a network, actor or sometimes also called as an actant to differentiate it with the word actor which used to associated with human, made an action which will influence the relation of the existing network. To see how a network would change, ANT tries to measure strength of the relation. For example, the possibilities of Indonesia people develop a biofuel system. The sustainability of the system is not only depending on the government policy, but also on how the market demand was created, readiness of the industry, and what kind of technology which is needed to make the system efficient. By performing ANT, we can see that strength of the existing relation is example of resistance.
