The Boston Biobang was triggered by two companies which success in reached continuity in raising capital and put a number of drugs on the market. In the early stage, biotechnology development was dominated by scientist which doing research for the sake of scientific world. Science for science makes the company difficult to attract funders. Big or global companies don’t want to invest their money in a riskily field, but after the success of two companies in biotechnology, the relation suddenly changes.
A huge number of companies rise with differences in quality. However, for investors which still lack of experiences dealing with biotechnology, some of them suffered heavy loss. A turning point happened when big companies held a CEOs appointment and start to employed high-quality scientists. Pharmaceutical that has already settled, start to change their game by made cooperation with the biotechnology companies.
Although, invention in biotechnology is good news in health care, there is resistance that comes from religion-inspired, which saw human interference in DNA past the Almighty authority.
