How do you know that this is the real world, and not only a dream? For Neo in The Matrix trilogy, the question had made him faces the truth that he never imagine before. His daily activities that he percept is not more than bits of information that injected into his head from a giant machine. Neo have two options, refuse to know and continue his dreams or fight for his freedom.

In different case, sometimes we have to deal with Neo’s dilemma as well. Opera soap (sinetron) or news? For me, both of the options are not interesting. Opera soap make my face wrinkle because of it absurdity and news often make me feel sad. Anyway, without using me as a sample case, the increasing of opera soap numbers indicate that I’m just a minority (yeah, the writer have right to be narciss) and also (this is serious) that most of Indonesian watcher choose opera soap to spend their leisure time.  What does it mean? With positive point of view:), we can say that our television watcher always support the good side, even if they can’t do it in the real world.

By using internet or video game that allow use to interact with the device, we can express ourselves even greater. As Michael Heim, a cyberspace philosopher said, “Our fascination with computer is… more deeply spiritual than utilitarian, our love affair” with these machines, he continues, “we are searching for a home for the mind and heart.”
