Creating a new process to improve the efficiency of computer or any other hardware is no simple matter. But now, a nanoscale based technology has been introduced to the world of science and computer industry.
It promises a more efficient, smarter, even faster speed. Of course this is the part of nanotechnology that will enable people and many industries enjoy the ultimate performance of computer. How will be the technology derived?
It’s started by the creation of block co-polymer lithography, technology to make square, nanoscale, chemical patterns –– from the bottom up –– created by UCSB scientists. This may be used in the manufacture of integrated circuit chips as early as 2011.
